Q: CAN THE BALL ON THE END OF MY TRAINER BE SWITCHED OUT FROM A BASEBALL TO A SOFTBALL OR VISE VERSA?
A: Yes, it is very easy to change out the ball for your respective sport and switch it back to your preference.
Q: CAN I USE MY TRAINER IN THE WINTER?
A: Yes, although it will not be as flexible in colder climates, (but then again, neither are we), your trainer was designed to withstand any and all weather conditions that you can throw at it.
Q: HOW LONG WILL MY TRAINER LAST?
A: If you don’t take it out of the box, it should last indefinitely, however, if you do take it out of the box and use it properly and according to our training videos, you should be extremely satisfied with it’s longevity!
Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF MY SOFTBALL OR BASEBALL WEARS OUT?
A: Regular inspection of the ball will help determine replacement intervals, but when it’s time to switch, Batter-Ox offers replacement baseballs and replacement softballs at a very marginal cost to our customers.
Q: I AM A COACH AND I WOULD LIKE TO USE ONE TRAINER FOR MY WHOLE TEAM. IS THIS A GOOD IDEA?
A: Yes, it is a great idea if your whole team also shares one bat, or one glove or one pair of underwear. If this is not how you roll then we recommend that you purchase a Batter-Ox Team Pack (Baseball and Softball). Much like any other piece of equipment, if 15 people use it instead of the one it was designed for, components will wear at a faster rate. The Batter-Ox Team Pack (Baseball and Softball) is very compact and has six trainers for use by the whole team. We also offer special incentives for teams.

Q: HOW DOES BATTER-OX SWING TRAINER WORK?
A: Inside the frame of the trainer is a ballistic plug that acts like a piston upon impact. At the point of contact, this plug flares out creating resistance on the inner walls of the trainer. As the plug rapidly travels up the shaft it dissipates the kinetic energy of the hit until it reaches the end of the trainer and is instantly stopped by a jam-knot on the backside of the cord. The remaining energy is transferred throughout the flexible frame with little effect being felt by the holder as the trainer is easily reloaded and repositioned for the next hit.

Q: WHAT IS THE KNOT WITH THE LOOP FOR ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE TRAINER?
A: The knot located on the backside of the trainer cord is intentional and strategically placed there by design. It is called a jam-knot and it limits the travel of the ball while assuring the internal mechanism of the trainer remains inside the frame. This is the only knot that should be in the cord of the trainer and all other knots should be immediately untangled if found.

A: Yes, if what you mean by indoors is a high ceiling location free from obstructions, foot traffic and your mom’s china cabinet. Batter-Ox is perfect for indoor use in many settings but, please use common sense and follow the disclaimer. Note: If you have to ask if it’s a good idea – it probably isn’t!
